Cookie Policy

How CompleteLane uses cookies and similar browser technologies.

Last updated: April 26, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CompleteLane ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies when you use our website and document collection platform (the "Service"). This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter certain information each time you return.

This Policy also covers similar browser technologies, including:

  • localStorage: Persistent key-value storage in your browser, accessible only by the originating site. Data is not sent to the server on each request and persists until manually cleared.
  • sessionStorage: Similar to localStorage but scoped to a single browser session. Data is cleared automatically when you close the tab or window.

2. Cookies and Storage We Use

CompleteLane uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

Required

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They are set automatically when you log in.

Cookie NamePurposeDuration

sb-[project]-auth-token-code-verifierPKCE code verifier used during the OAuth sign-in flow. Ensures the authentication handshake is secure.Session (cleared after sign-in completes)
cl_consentStores your cookie consent choices so we can respect them on future visits.13 months
theme (localStorage)Stores your color theme preference (light, dark, or system) — a service preference essential to your chosen UX.Persistent until manually cleared

b) Functional Cookies

Functional

CompleteLane does not currently use any additional functional cookies. If we introduce them in the future, they will only run with your consent.

c) Analytics and Advertising Cookies

CompleteLane does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any form of cross-site tracking. We do not share data with ad networks or use behavioral profiling. If we introduce analytics in the future, they will only run with your consent via the cookie banner.

3. Third-Party Technologies

Some of the third-party services we use may set their own cookies or use browser storage for operational purposes:

ProviderTechnology UsedPurpose
SupabaseCookies (HTTP-only)Authentication session management and secure token storage.
SentrysessionStorage (ephemeral)Correlating errors within a session for diagnostic purposes. Not used for tracking across sessions or sites.

These technologies are used strictly to operate the Service and are not used for advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete individual cookies stored by websites.
  • Block third-party cookies.
  • Block all cookies from specific websites.
  • Clear all cookies when you close the browser.

Important: Disabling strictly necessary cookies (Supabase authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in to the Service. The Service cannot function without these cookies.

To clear localStorage data (such as your theme preference), use your browser's developer tools under Application → Storage → localStorage.

For browser-specific instructions on managing cookies, refer to your browser's help documentation (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

6. Do Not Track

CompleteLane respects Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. Because we do not engage in cross-site behavioral tracking or use advertising cookies, our practices are consistent with DNT preferences regardless of whether DNT is enabled in your browser.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies, storage technologies, or third-party services. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email or in-app notice.
