Client portal
The only surface your clients ever interact with.
The client portal is the only surface your clients interact with. They never sign up — they receive a magic-link email and open the portal directly.
The magic link
When you send a request, CompleteLane emails the client a unique link bound to that request. Each link is single-tenant: it only shows that client's checklist. The link doesn't expire as long as the request is active.

Could you re-upload page 2?

Manual completion
If your team marks an item as manually completed, the client sees a 'Marked completed by team' pill. They cannot see who marked it or why — just that no upload is needed.

No upload needed for this item.
Security and privacy
The magic link is bound to the request. Clients can't see your dashboard, other clients' requests, or any information about your team. Files are encrypted at rest using AES-256.
